Como desde hace treinta y cuatro años, esta organización de enfermeras de salud mental presenta anualmente un Congreso Nacional. Ahora, el XXXIV Congreso Nacional de Enfermería de Salud Mental, que lleva como lema “Las enfermeras de salud mental y la exclusión social: hablando claro”.

Las enfermeras de salud mental han ido avanzando y evolucionando, y paralelamente lo ha hecho esta Asociación, que adaptándose a nuevas circunstancias y nuevos tiempos, recientemente ha cambiado su denominación a Asociación Española de Enfermería de Salud Mental (AEESME).

Asimismo, proponemos en el presente Congreso, hablar de los valores como fundamento para potenciar el respeto de los Derechos Humanos en la práctica enfermera en general, y en los cuidados enfermeros de salud mental en particular. Además, y como marco institucional para este cambio evolutivo, se propone una revisión del sistema de salud actual que pueda dar respuesta a los problemas sociosanitarios que presentan las sociedades modernas, muchas veces conducentes a la marginación y a la exclusión social.

Estas propuestas se presentarán en el Congreso propiciando el debate entre los asistentes en forma de Ponencias Centrales, Paneles de Expertos, Mesas Redondas, Simposio y Talleres en los que intervendrán profesionales de alto prestigio de la salud mental y la psiquiatría.

Además, se congrega a los profesionales enfermeros para exponer sus experiencias por medio de Comunicaciones Orales y en modo Póster, para discutir sobre las experiencias profesionales y consensuar acuerdos profesionales buscando la excelencia en los cuidados de enfermería de salud mental.

Se invita pues, a todos los profesionales interesados y a los usuarios del sistema de salud mental y sus familiares, a participar en este Congreso, que se celebrará en el Auditorio Víctor Villegas de Murcia.
